Pathway to the Pros

Wisconsin Wolfpack LogoThe Wisconsin Wolfpack will hold it's first practice and tryout on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis. Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the tryout will run from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.

All players interested in establishing a path to the pro ranks are invited to the tryouts. However, all players should have used up their college eligibility or have no intention of playing college football in the future.

The tryout is free and there is no fee to play for the Wolfpack. The outdoor team has been as established as a feeder for three professional indoor teams, all of whom are partly owned by the ownership of the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack plan on playing two exhibition and eight league games, in addition to any playoff and/or tournament games. Six games will be home games and four will be road games. The Wolfpack represent Wisconsin in the Mid-Continental Football League (MCFL).

Carroll University has an artificial turf surface so attendees should be prepared with appropriate shoes and should bring a helmet if they own one. The first exhibition game will be June 6, which means there are only four practices to accomplish a lot of work.

If you cannot attend the tryout session and are interested in playing for the Wolfpack, contact us. You can go to http://www.wiwolfpack.com and fill out the registration form. Players who cannot make the tryout are encouraged to come to Champps Americana at 1240 South Moorland Road in Brookfield, Wis., on Thursday, May 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. Head coach Jordan Kopac will be there wearing a Wolfpack polo.

Incidentally, 25 players, coaches, and staff made it to the pros this past year. With your help, I would like to double that number this year.

I look forward to meeting all new players and welcoming back all veterans.

Thank you,

Coach Jordan Kopac
