Wolfpack Tame Fury, 25-22

The Wolfpack defeated the Flint Fury 25-22 in a game that spanned two days at Ameche Field in Kenosha, Wis. The game, part of a doubleheader which began following a Mid-States Football League game, didn't end until after 1 a.m. Sunday.

The Wolfpack pounded the ball on the ground, accumulating nearly 200 yards of rushing offense. Jason McClelland led the way with 15 rushes for 102 yards. Bryan Jennings, Jr., who joined the Wolfpack this week, ran for 64 yards on 13 carries.

The Wolfpack struck first on a one-yard touchdown run by Jennings just over a minute into the game following a fumble by Tony George. The two-point conversion run by Aunton Terry failed giving the Wolfpack an early 6-0 lead.

The Fury would respond on the ensuing drive when Matt Terry hit Lamar West on a 58-yard touchdown strike. Terry would keep the ball an bootleg in for the two-point conversion to give the Fury an 8-6 lead with 10:47 to play in the first quarter.
