Don Wadewitz is an award winning broadcaster and public and media relations professional. He enters his second year with the Wolfpack and broadcast Wolfpack games on the CIFL Radio Network in 2009.
A graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., Don received the first-ever Don and Kay McNeil Award for Creative Efforts in Student Broadcasting in 2000.
Don began in football in 2002 when he started broadcasting games on WRJN for the adult amateur Racine Raiders. He soon added media and public relations duties. The Raiders three-person broadcast team were named the Best Sports Broadcast Team in a reader's choice poll in the Racine Journal Times in 2007.
While with the Raiders, Don was also named the Minor League Football News Public Relations Director of the Year in the Central Region for three years (2004-2006) and the National Public Relations Director of the Year in 2007. In 2009, he was named the Public and Media Relations Person of the Year in the 80-team North American Football League (NAFL).
In addition to his work with the Raiders, Don has broadcast high school football and basketball games on WRJN in Racine, Wis., for the past four years. He broadcast the 2008 WIAA Division 6 state championship football game at Camp Randall Stadium.
Various efforts have also landed Don on ESPN, CNN, ABC World New Tonight with Peter jennings, and dozens of radio and television stations across the locally, regionally, and nationally. For more information on Don, please visit his Website. |
