The Wisconsin Wolfpack of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) will have a new home for the 2010 season. The team will move from the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum on the campus of the Alliant Energy Center to Hartmeyer Arena.

"Fans will have a more intimate setting and be even closer to the action at the Hartmeyer Arena," said Wolfpack general manager Peter Kishline. "Plus, moving to the Hartmeyer Arena offers us an opportunity to offer more flexibility in ticket prices and specials and opens additional revenue streams for the Wolfpack so we can remain in Madison for years to come."

The Wolfpack will receive procedes from concession sales and additional ticket revenue at the Hartmeyer Arena, major influences in the decision to move away from the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum.

"We're in just our second year and trying to build a strong and loyal fan base in Madison, a town known for supporting athletics," said Kishline. "The Hartmeyer Arena is just a better fit for the Wolfpack at this time."

The Hartmeyer Arena will hold about 4,000 fans for indoor football games. The Madison Ice Muskies, a pro hockey team in the All-American Hockey League, also call the Hartmeyer Arena home, as well as several youth and college hockey teams.

The Wolfpack finished 7-5 in their inaugural season, qualifying for the CIFL playoffs. They lost in the first round to the eventual champions, the Chicago Slaughter. The Slaughter switched leagues in the offseason, making the Wolfpack one of the preseason favorites to win the 2010 CIFL Championship.
