The Texas-bred Kurt Ware comes to the Wolfpack via the Wisconsin Badgers football team.

Kurt Ware as a Wisconsin BadgerKurt grew up a basketball player and only played football for two years in high school. He played well enough to earn a full athletic scholarship to the University of Wisconsin following his graduation in 2003.

Kurt saw time on the field in all four of his years at Wisconsin, starting numerous games in 2006 and 2007.

Kurt spent the 2008 season as a student assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he helped coach the Warhawks to their fourth straight Division 3 national championship game.

Kurt was the second member of his family to play Division 1 football as his brother Kevin played tight end at Washington.
